What is the proper seq in which your effects should be in? I.E wah wah -distortion - chorus - phaser -delay.?
As a general rule, time based effects (delay, reverb, chorus, phaser) should be placed in the FX loop, as well as noisegates. Distortions, OD's, and wah's should be placed before the amp.
alright order tends to be compress/tone shaping effects (EQ, wah, etc), into distortion/overdrive effects, into modulation effects (phaser, flanger, chorus) into time based effects (delay, echo, reverb, etc)If I'm drastically off, someone correct me?

That's odd, because when I run my NS-2 into the front of my amp it works great, but when I run it in the loop, it squeels like it's not even activated. Maybe it's my amp.
Everybody seems to forget...THERE ARE NO RULES OR CORRECT WAY OF HOOKING UP YOUR EFFECTS. Everything is up to the user to decide. What sounds bad to some people sounds good to others and vice versa. However, there are Guidelines on making the most out of your effects by following the quot;suggestedquot; order to hook them up. Some people like to put their Wah-wah pedals before a distortion pedal. Some people however swear that placing the wah after the distortion pedal sounds better. Yes, it's a matter of pesonal preference and style. A lot of great players EXPERIMENT with effects placement and they discover sounds they haven't even thought that a certain pedal are capable of producing. Like for example Tom Morello of RATM. He's effects had always been a Wah, a Whammy Pedal, a Delay, EQ pedal (for boost only) and a Flanger. How many years has he been using this same effects? 3 RATM albums and Audiosalve and he hasn't ran out of sounds to come up with yet. He personally said he's still coming up with more sounds each time he plays!! Don't be quot;Stuckquot; with rules on how to do things...this is quot;Rock and Rollquot; remember?! Take good advices...decide on your own what's best for you and not because they said it works for them doesn't mean it will work for you too. Peace.
Alot of people swear by putting eq's in the loop of there amps. I also know alot of people the but there modulation effects in the loop and the rest of the stuff in front of the amp. I have heard delay better in the loop sometimes and better in front of the amp. I think its just a matter of personal taste and what you think sounds good.
