ok as a follow up to my last thread here's my third project...the body and bridge pickup came in today and i got it together...

right now it has a temporary MIM tele neck but a MIA maple one will be going on in the future...
i'm on a serious tele kick now and have been selling most of my strats and buying/building teles to replace them with and i'm much happier with the teles!!

you would think with 3 new projects done my GAS would have been taken care of but i'm not so sure about that hahahaha

yeah the plan for this was to be my backup to the twistedcaster since that's my main guitar...so it has similar features but i went with an sm2 custom mini hum in the neck instead of the sm1 vintage...i think i like the vintage a bit better but the custom does shine it it's own ways.

I've been a strat lover for years but just discovered how great tele guitars can be! That extra tone a string thru bridge adds is amazing! I love the Duncan Mini humbuckers, as well as the Gibson mini's. I have a set of Duncan Minis that i need to use oneday. I took the Duncan Minis that i had in a Les paul Deluxe out and put real Gibsons back in when Gibson Reissued them in 1999. I like both the Duncan and the Gibson the same, it was just the Gibson had the right look. These teles you have built look like they have a hell of a lot to offer! The mini humbucker is the greatest neck pickup ever to me!!!! In all seriousness i was going to built a tele or a hard tail start in the same lay out with a mini in the neck!

That's killer man, you've got a very cool collection I must say.

After I finish the project that's currently in the works, I want to eventually build either a tele or an LP-style axe with mini-hums or P90s.

All your guitars look great and have soemthing a little special about them to ste them apart from the crowd, awesome!!

Looks quite good although I liked the Twistedcaster more...
I'd put a rosewood neck on it if you're not completely into maple only...

i like the red contrast effect of the pickguard.
