So I am getting ready to install my first pickups - (from seymour duncan..where else?) and I open the package and noticed 2 springs.

I haven't taken the old pickups out yet, but what are the springs for?

they are used to keep pressure on the pup between the legs of the pup and the pickguard/mounting ring
