hey guys,
my friend baught a Jackson warrior guitar and he's not really big on the sound of the EMG HZs. What seymour duncan do you guys recommend?
its this one here:
from : localhost/Alder with Carved Top and Flame Maple Veneer on Transparent Colors
NECK: Bolt-On Rock Maple
I was thinking of the Duncan Distortion. any recommendations?
He plays heavy metal, black/death metal.
Thanks
I'm not familiar with many of the SD pups but i have a custom and a JB and my verdict of these two is definitely the custom as the best one. But I myself is looking into a Duncan distortion as my next buy...'
Considering your demands in genre, I would recommend the invader. I have heard that one and it seems to fit your requirements!
I'd say either the Distorion or the Custom.

How would you differentiate between the two in crunch and eq?Thanks guys! well, i am gonna bring my older lespaul there and we'll take the duncan Distortion out of it and try it in his warrior to see what it sounds like.
The invader is definitly a 2nd choice, but we'll try the Duncan Distortion since it wont cost him money to try it.Thanks
ive got a kelly: FR, bolt-on, same thing different body... i put a distortion set and it can do anything.. that said if its downtuned the distortion works graet.. cant say anyting bout the invader, never tried it
Custom or EMG 85. Possibly 81 with the right amp.
EMG 81, bridge =D (I think its only good if you play power chords and palm mute all the time but you can still use it).
