I wasn't sure where else to post this, but I wanted others to be aware of the potential to get ripped off.

I ordered two body blanks (ash) on November 14th, and paid for them through Paypal. I ordered them from BRTguitars.com, and spoke with Chris there.

I never heard back from him, never received the order, and can't even get him to return my phone calls.

So after a month, I have finally filed a complaint with Paypal so that at least it would be reported, and hopefully I can get my money back.

I know it's only $52, but that is $52 that they have now stolen from me!

Paypal awarded me $1 and change since he wouldn't respond to them either.

I would advise that you look elsewhere than Brtguitars, since they are listed on projectguitar.com as well. Bad experience, bad business.

Thats a shame. Sorry to hear that.

Did you use a credit card GTG?

If so have the credit card company remove the charge.

It is odd that Paypal returned $1.00 to you. Any idea why they did this?

If you use Paypal with direct access to your checking or savings, you are out of luck.

Don't forget the Better Business Bureau also. from : localhost/www.bbb.org/

Thanks guys. Paypal does use my checking account, so I don't think I would be able to get anywhere with that. They said that they awarded me what funds they were able to recover from the seller, which may only be a balance left in his paypal account.

I would like to do everything possible to try to get the cash back, and let people know that he's not a good source of business.

PRG, thanks for the heads up, and I'll give your site a look when I am ready to get a couple more guitars started (hopefully soon!).

Post his address. Maybe a drunken Irish forumite who lives in his area will go kick a dent in his car too! LOL

Something similar happened to me. I was getting a FET preamp booster made from Jason Heavner of Big Block Effects, I never got it and he dropped out of contact. I couldn't get a refund from Paypal because it had been more than a month since I made the payment, as I was still in contact with him for a month. $60 isn't a ton but on a high school student's budget...

Good looking out man. I am still leaving messages every day or at least when I can to let him know he is in the wrong.

I don't see why he wouldn't just send my $52 back. If you go to his website, brtguitars.com, his cell number and email are listed there.

Any help is appreciated if you guys feel like dropping him a line or leaving him a message!
