How 'bout the neck-thru BC Rich models?

1st thing to come to mind would be a Epi Firebird ,But be careful not all
of em' are neck thru.

Ibanez's RGT42 is neck-thru but I think its basswood.

I would like to stay with major brands like: Shecter, ESP, Jackson, Ibanez...etc

PM sent

Schecter C-1s are really nice. You could also get a Carvin on eBay.

Something alone these lines:

FEATURES: set-thru construction; 25.5” scale; mahogany body w/flamed maple top; 3-piece maple neck; rosewood fingerboard; dot inlays w/model name at 12th fret; JB/59 zebra pickups; volume amp; tone controls w/5-way Ultraswitch; black hardware; Grover tuners; Earvana Compensated Nut; Tune-o-matic bridge w/stop tailpiece; natural binding on body: white binding on neck amp; headstock; 24 XJ frets

Schecter C-1 classic, Charvel model 5/6, Jackson SL3/SL4.

My recomendation would be to look at some of the old Ibanez Musicians (there is very decently priced one here ). Lados are also good. This one looks like a set or deep-set neck. Most Lados I have seen are neck-through. Some of those old neck-throughs from the '70s can be had for a very good price these days.

Carvins can be had easily under a 1000 and they have all those features and more

I used to have an ESP LTD M-302 which was maple neck-thru with mahogany body wings. It was a great playing guitar but I didn't like the hassles of the Floyd (a licensed one at that). I got it for $300 USD shipped. If you upgraded the pups to active EMG;s and swapped out the licensed Floyd for and original it would be a killer guitar.

if mainstream brand is not a concern, check out blackburn will build you a neck-thru with your choice of wood and hardware at a very reasonable cost. he is a very nice guy to deal with. you can discuss all things guitar and he will reply you promptly.

hope it helps,
