what are some thoughts on using a pearly gates neck and a seth lover bridge in an alder strat body guitar with a flame maple top and a rosewood neck?
Sounds like a good idea to me. They're both alnico 2 pickups (not sure of the output on both) but they should make a good couple. Also it seems like alnico 2 magnet pickups are always praised in fat strats. Go for it, I do know for a fact it's not going to sound bad.
The problem you COULD run into is that the neck pup come in and be almost as hot as the bridge pup. That said if everything comes out as it should you shouldn't have any problems.
