I have a Fender HWY 1 Tele in honey blonde with a maple fretboard. I bought this guitar new about a couple of months ago. The neck on these guitars is the same as the American Series with the rolled fingerboard edges and 9.5 inch radius. The tuners are the Standard type Fender/Ping Standard Cast/Sealed Tuning Machines. The finish is done in acrylic laquer and is extremely thin and fragile; very nice for relicing. It has dings in it that normally would not show up in a guitar with a poly finish; at least not for several years... and I'm careful. I have worn the finish down around where my forearm lays; also, on the upper and lower bouts. It does not look junkie. It just looks played ... I have routed (cleany) the body to give it a universal route. The neck cavity is nice and tight and the bridge sits flat. I had also bought a Rio Grande Muy Grande bridge pickup. I ll include it in the trade. The pickup sounds really great. It s very big, warm, and punchy. It growls realy niceley and when you ad some gain, it takes on the thickness of a PAF.
I have the Deluxe gigbag as well. The pickguard is w/b/w 8-hole. The Fender website syas it s a 1-ply. Mine isn t. It s a very solid-playing Tele that feels nice. The reason I'm looking to part with it is that I really miss the vintage radius necks and vintage frets that I have gotten used to. I also like white blonde a lot better than vintage or honey blonde. I will provide detailed pics as needed. I am looking for a MIM 50's Tele in white blonde.

My amp is currently out of service because my last speaker is up for ebay, so at today's jam i used my friend's fender bullet reverb.
Boy that makes you appreciate good tone! I missed my bandmaster every minute of it, the deep warm bass from that big 15 inch speaker and the singing treble....It'll be back in action when i need it once i grab that deluxe, i guess when i need the 40 watt power, i can run the bandmaster through the deluxe's jensen.
Any of you guys that own good amps, try a little amp under 150 bucks and appreciate what you got! I sure appreciate mine now!

After D!ck and I went to the Hamer seminar at our local Hamer dealer I've been really wanting to play some, especially the Monaco III which Jol played. He said he designed this guitar for himself. My buddy Tommy and I went to the dealership on my B-day to get out of the house where Jamie could do her Taebo.
I played the Junior, Artist, and Monaco III.
The Junior had a supringly low actions. Very spanky sounding yet thick. I really dug it and wish I had had my own amp to try it with.

I know there are some German residents on here but anybody could answer my question.
I'm am going to buy a German amp from Germany, but i am a little worried about the power and voltage issues.
I'm know Germany uses 230v and UK can use appliances rated between 220-240v.
Is it pretty much safe just to use a standard UK IEC lead. (Normal 3pin - 3pin)

marked EL34SVT on the Ruby label (on the tube base).

I wired up a CC/APH in one of my Charvel 750xl's the other day. I've got it wired with a 5 way switch as so:
1) full neck
2) split neck
3) split neck/split bridge

Hi guys, I'm looking at getting a new guitar that has a JB in the bridge position and a '59 in the neck. I already have a JB-loaded guitar, so I know what it sounds like, but I wondered how well the '59 goes with it? I currently have classic stacks in with the JB, and I don't like the combo. The JB simply overpowers the others too much. What's the '59 like there? Thanks for your help!
Balanced. I've used the 59/JB combo a few years and they complement very well each other. They have the same output (in their respective positions) and they balance very well in tone too. Sometimes 59 can be a bit too dark but you can tweak it setting the polepieces a bit higher.
I have to agree with Breogan. I've had that combo in my HH Tele for a couple of weeks now and really dig the match. They balance very well, but I think that the Jazz would compliment it even more due to the darker nature of the '59.

is there any tonal differences between the 59's with nickle or gold covers ($90) and the regular 59's($70)?
I think you might not be able to get as much brightness and output because the poles can't get as close to the strings.
