Hey all, I'm wondering what kind of tone you can get with the Tremonti Power Wah or the Morley Bad Horsie Wahs. I currently own a Crybaby 535Q and I'm not completely satisfied with it. I really dislike the switching and therefore I'm attracted by Morley's switchless design. I bought the Crybaby searching for Kirk Hammet's wah tone and have come close. I also like Mark Tremonti's wah tone. For those of you that own a Morley pedal, can you get close to both Hammet and Tremonti with it?

My strat sounds great, but ever since i did that 50's mod for the tone pot wiring to the switch, it never sounded the same. I also put the middle pickup at the neck for hum cancelling since i rewired the switch to have neck and bridge as a selection.

im looking to throw some new pickups in my strat, its a pos knockoff but i love it and i wanna make it scream.

I have a Phil Kubicki Strat that I may be interested in dealing...

Am I doing something dangerous by not grounding my 5-way switch to the volume pot? I recently opened up my guitar and realized I haven't had it grounded for quite some time.

More to come but my Zager ZAD 50CE acoustic/electric came in Thursday and its pretty darn sweet. I paid $495. As advertised it is very easy to play and yet has no fret buzzing or anything like that. I played with my buddy last night who plays a taylor that he bought used from his inlaws for $900...I'm pretty sure new its over $2000...anyway he was impressed with how nice my Zager sounded compared to his taylor...The only real difference we could detect was the Taylor seemed just a tad louder...but then again the Zager comes default with extra light strings. Anyhoo I think that anybody looking for a good guitar in the sub $500 range would be darn happy with this Zager (the non electric acoustic are even cheaper). I took all the nice things I had read on the harmonycentral site with a grain of salt but I must say I am impressed. My Ovation which I purchased at the guitar center last month went back as there was just no contest between the two. Finally my wife who know zero bout this stuff Immedialy pointed out how sweet the guitar was compared to my previous two acoustics so it was nice to get that type of immediate feedback from a person who basically dosent fret about tone.

Hi there. I just bought a Strat copy (SX) and will buy some pickups soon. This is my first strat-type guitar and I know little about the pickups.

I just got a esp ltd mh301 I love the guitar hate the pickups dont like the sound at all. I am looking for a good metal sound. to give you a idea what I am looking for I play Iron maiden, helloween, preast. that type of sound. If any one could help me that would be great. oh the guitar has emghz in it thats all I know. steve
