What about Hamer Chapparals?
i've been searching for one of these for years after i have played a friends hamer chapparal custom with mahogany body, set neck and emg pickups. Amazing sustain and a very full sound. I am still trying to make him sell it to me but i don't think he's gonna change opinion anytime soon .... Problem is that they seem to be very rare...in the last couple of years i have only came across 2-3 over ebay....things are even worst cause i am searching for the 24 3/4 scale version which was only made during 86-87. Has anyone had any experience with a chapparal and what are the most common problems on them????repaired neck joints?headstocks?

Jamie Aebersold Books?CDs
Hey guys. For the audition CD i have to send in to UNH, I have to use a song off of a CD from a Book by Jamie Aebersold, from those learn/play-along CD and Book sets. Is anyone familar with these books. It's just standard sheet music but he writes the song out in sections and stuff. The song I've chosen is a blues song and he has it in 3 parts, A, B and C. A says Melody, B says Play 5 choruses, and C says Play 3 Choruses. Each part has 12 bars. Can anyone explain this setup to me? I gotta get this song down ASAP, I am actually behind on the due date for the CD, it didnt even say anywhere on the application that I had to send one in so I don't even know how I was supposed to find that out. And does anyone have any suggestions for soloing techniques over dominant sventh, minor seventh, minor seven flat five, major seven add nine, and major seventh chords? The progression isn't a standard blues progression, it's really more Jazz than anything else IMO, and I HATE this type of quot;bluesquot;. I'm a I IV and V progression guy for blues. I'm just thinking of major pentatonic, altering the minor pentatonic to major, and trying to solo over each chord by playing it's taarget notes, which TADA, leads you o Jazz. Whatever, can anyone help me out? lol.

Improving one's blues skills
I guess I've been getting bored from trying to pull new licks out of my pentatonic modes and such. I've begun to implement different rhythm patterns to revive my old tricks and licks, but it's only successful with my band or a good backing.

Parallel Axis neck?
Did anyone try the PATB-1 neck model? Could anyone post some clips?
Also, what's the idea of having a trembucker in the neck? Cause it's designed for the bridge spacing..
