I know they are the notes of a chord, but I really just dont know how to use them effectivly. How do you through them into songs? Do you like play a few notes of the arpeggio? Im confused on how to use them in general. And can someone explain a sweep. Im pretty sure I am using them but not knowing it.

Ibanez trussrod problems
I am attempting my first setup on my Ibanez RG570 w/ a Edge Trem.
My problem is the trussrod, though. When I loosen the nut, the nut comes undone and just moves on down the threading. The neck does not follow. In case I am not explaining, here is a picture. You can see the gap. What am I doing wrong?

Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Octave fuzz?
Is this one any good? I'm going for that fuzzy octave down riffing, more in the stoner vein and not so much like Hendrix, if you know what I'm getting at. If anybody's heard Death From Above 1979 that's the sound I'm going for...except with a guitar, because that guy only uses a bass. Anyway, is this a quality product or would I be better off with some kind of boutique thing?

Why are Les Paul DC's so overlooked?
In the mid 90's, when PRS was cutting into Gibson's market with their 24 fret guitars, Gibson retaliated by introducing the Les Paul Double Cutaway.
Ironically, PRS fired back with the Singlecut, which caused all the controversy we hear about.

Coil splitting and the Lil 59er..
I have three Lil 59ers I'm installing in a Strat. I have three switches; two Carvin DPDT mini toggles and one Gibson 500K ohm push/pull DPDT. I want the two Carvin switches to switch the neck and bridge pickups from humbucker to single coil. I want the Gibson to switch the middle pickup the same way. I am confused as to which diagram on the card I use; 1. split the pickup with itself, 2. split the pickup when used with others. Since I have the three, I am assuming it's number 2, but wanted to make sure before I slopped solder on there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

APH-1n, screw-coil wire colors?
I must have hooked up my neck pup bass-ackwards, because when I split the coils the slug-coil is active instead of the screw-coil. I know there is debate as to which coil should be active when split and since this pup is in a 24 fret guitar I want the screw-coil to be active when split so I can adjust the screws to dial in as sweet a tone as you're going to get in a neck-pup-24-fret set-up.
Here is how I wired it up if it helps.

Antiquity P-Bass
So I´m about to try out a new pickup for my fender Precision and I´ve decided on a seymour duncan. What I really want is an Antiwuity pickup for a real vintage sound as the DiMarzio my bass has now is really not cutting it for my needs.

Put some Ants in my '91 LP Classic
Picked up a pair of Antiquity HBs on Ebay this week (8.47k bridge, 7.5k neck) and put them in my '91 Classic. I've had '57 Classics, '59s and A2Ps in that guitar. All were fine in their own way, but didn't inspire me as much as the Seths in my '96 Standard. It was only a matter of time before some Ants got in there.
