I'm really enjoying my AD120 Valvetronix head and I'm getting really great tones through mine...Lately I'm really liking the Clean Boutique,OD Boutique, and the SLO 100 tones...I dialed in a really great quot;ZZ Topquot; La Grange preset by using the Boutique Clean model with top boost and some hall reverb...Sounds alot like it and better than I could dial in the 1x12 Tweed model tones...

Ok Guys, I'm just getting ready to wire up my scratchplate and then align it ready for the pickguard pilot holes. This is a Warmoth/Loristra guitars project and I'm putting it all together to my spec.

thicker sounding bridge hum
hi all. i recently traded fender SCN pickup loaded pickguards with a guy i know on another forum and i got a bridge humbucker with 2 SCNs in it. the DH-1 is ok but it seems overly bright and thin sounding to me. im not sure of the pot value used but i have a feeling its a 1meg because the SCNs use 1meg pots for tone contol and since the bridge tone control works for both the bridge hum and the middle, 1 meg is the way id go if i was fender. but, even with the tone control at a setting where the tone isnt overly bright the pickup still sounds thin. people have recommended the c-5 trembucker and it sounds liike it would fit the bill but ive always been curious about dimarzio super distortions and other dimarzios with that huge mid spike. the SCNs have the mids pretty much scooped out so having a pickup with a lot of mids and decent bass would be pretty sweet. also, i dont want a super hot pickup as i want the #4 position (bridge middle) to sound normal as opposed to having more bridge pickup than middle. any reccomendations or suggestions of any kind are welcomed. thanks in advance -stu

Does Duncan make Dog-eared P90s?
Does Duncan make Dog-eared P90s? I want to swap the bridge pickup out of my Gibson ES 330, the orginial one is WEAK, probably damaged or just old. Duncan makes their P90s in both soapbar and dog-eared versions
