Hi Guys.My first post.Im a quot;new geekquot;....Heres the deal...I have a 3 PU Les Paul Custom that I have had re wired with 2 push pull tone controls that allow 7 PU configureations, one of my favorite's being the MIDDLE hot wired to bypass all of the controls...And I'm thinkin' it could be VERY cool to put a Phat Cat P 90 in the middle position. But would it be OK to put a BRIDGE P 90 there??? Goodness knows I dont need any more BASS from this guitar!!!! Any input would be GREAT!!!!!! I have no idea how different the EQ is on a bridge PU from a Neck PU.... Thanks In advance..Oh , it has 1983 humbuckers in it now...PZ

Strat Middle pickup for Nashville Tele
I have a Nashville B-bender tele with SDA's and I need to get a middle position strat pup to throw in. I swore off strats years ago but have played a few recently and am missing some of those pickup combinations. Anyway - having trouble finding an online retailer where I can just order one strat pickup and not the whole set.

Is C5 really that much different than Custom?
I've read the descriptions on the site and see the C5 is more vintage, so it says. I would like some real opinions from some of you who have actually played both. I would rather quot;hearquot; real world opinions than read the differences on the site, especially with no C5 clips available. Looking for something for a strictly quot;hair metalquot; vibe. I always thought that was the JB, but I've seen varying opinions on it. I've got a Tone Zone in one guitar and a Super Distortion in another. I've never owned a guitar with Duncans in it so I think its about time. Any quot;expertquot; opinions here. I don't trust the sound samples as well as words from the wise.

distotion and invader (clean) clips now up
check out my new clips, i used the same sg with the invader for the clean finger picking, and a fender strat with a duncan distortion in the bridge for the distorted sounds! the drums are a bit off cos i had to make them using single hit samples, it took me forever! lol from : localhost/ let me know what ya think, cheers

Rivera Knucklehead and pre amp tubes
Hi all, i have a Knucklehead reverb 100 head....... Ive just replaced the winged C output tubes with matched quartet of JJ 6L6 GC tubes, which for some reason quot;mayquot; have cleaned up the overall tone of the amp?...

Need Some advice for possible pickup combinations
I have a JacksonDKFS2 with a Humbucker - Single Coil - Single Coil configuration. The guitar body is Alder with a maple veneer on the top. The neck is bolt on rock maple. The fingerboard is rosewood and it also has a JT580 LP Double Locking 2-Point Tremolo. The pickups that are currently installed in the guitar are duncan designed and i feel as though they lack definition and clarity as well as crunch. I really enjoy playing lots of metal like megadeth and metallica. I want to achieve a heavy crucnh tone for playing these songs but i don't want my sound to be so distorted that it becomes unclear. My considerations so far have been a TB-4 or SH-6 duncan distortion in the bridge position and a SHR-1 hot rails or SDBR-1 Duckbuckers in the middle and neck postition. If anyone could please tell what they think might be best based on the specs of my guitar
