I'm in the market for a Mesa Road King. I'd prefer one with the black faceplate but diamond plate is acceptable. It's the tone(s) I'm after anyway. Ebay has let me down, so help a brutha out.

Hails guys, i decided to DELAY the custom shop WFD pickups And put the Efforts ina new guitar, since i was a lot disappointed with my other 2 guitars, the red strat an dthe les paul.
and here the results.

given a hypothetical guitar with the same pups, back and cap, how much of a difference is there between a double cut and a single cut. Example, between an LP and an LP double cut? this makes the actual neck length shorter but what does this mean from a player's perspective?

Is it dimarzio super distortion ?

Or this can be the quot;i prefer dimarzio's over duncan pups quot; if you wish?
I want to ask what is it about one or the other that makes you prefer them?

anyone ever mix and match a dimarzio and a duncan? would it look goofy?

Was talking to my mate and he mentioned that he'd heard that Clapton used a Soldano for his lead work on the Rush soundtrack. Any truth to that?

I figgered since I had ye ol photobucket open, I'd post my new additions! Here they are! The one on the left is a Kramer Focus 6000 body with an ESP style neck, loaded w/ a Duncan Distortion and 2 Hot Stacks. and the one on the right is a Kramer Pacer Classic II. No pickups in that one yet as it's still in the works!

Hey guys, so I was reading that Guitar Legends issue for Dime again, and I noticed that in one of the articles where he talks about the Bill Lawrence L-500L, he says after he puts the pickup in the guitar, quot;I flip it upside down, so that the hot pole, instead of being in the treble position, is in front instead of near the bridge.quot; What does this mean? How does he flip it upside down? And what is the quot;hot polequot; he talks about?

hi all, i have the jb jazz combo in my agile 3500 which is a les paul copy but has an ebony fretboard and maple cap on mahogony body, both of which i'm told add brightness to the guitar. I love the jazz but am not nuts bout the jb which just seems too harsh sounding with not enought bass or warmth for me. perhaps this is because the guitar is already bright sounding due to the ebony? anyway the sound i'm into is blues and classic rock (60's 70's). I wanted to get your thoughts on which custom (custom, custom 5, or custom custom) would sound best in this type of guitar coupled with the jazz. really appreciate it thanks............
