This 450G is in very decent condition. It is certainly not mint, but then again it is 27 years old. For its age the condition is great I would say. There are a very small amount of dings, none are really that severe or even go inot the wood. They could easily be buffed out if you really wanted. The body wood on this guitar is walnut with maple/walnut strips. Neck is aluminum with walnut inserts. These guitars are very warm (not dark) with LOTS of sustain. The frets have a small amount of wear, but still have lots of life left in them. There is very little buzz. The neck is still good, no warping at all. Tuners still work and are very tight. There are a few things that have been altered on this guitar. There are strap locks installed (Schaller), I installed new saddles and will include the originals if you want, the neck pickup has been replaced with a '78 DMZ Super Distortion (installed by the guy I bought it from shortly after he bought the guitar new in '78), and the bridge pickup has been removed. The stock pickups in these are horrible so I was going to change the bridge pickup. It still needs to be routed to fit a regular humbucker, but with a Dremel Tool that would only take about two minutes. The route just needs to be made a little bit wider to accomodate the pickup legs. I will include the mounting ring I bought (with scews), and what ever pickup you want that I have here. The neck pickup can be used as a bridge pickup if you want, they made no neck model back then. I have a JB, and '59 neck. Which ever you want will be included as well. It comes in a very nice, sturdy custom-made flight case. It has green velvet interior and a wooden stablizer for the neck. It fits the guitar perfectly, it is not an original Kramer case however. This case can easily be used as a travelling case. It is a true flight case made by quot;Case Worksquot;. $500 shipping. For more info on these guitars: from : localhost/

I know that vintage 3-barrel bridges will retrofit on a MiM Fender Tele Standard, But will the modern 6-saddle bridge from the MiM fit on a vintage style Tele body?
I'm in the process of finding out whats making my 50's Esquire sound quot;less than itselfquot;. I'm gonna start with a modern 6-saddle bridge, but was wondering it the MiM's string spacing was compatible with the mounting holes on the 50's Esquire body.If not, what are some good bridges that look like the Am. Std. Fender bridges that would fit on my Esquire?

I have a 78 LPS that I put a Seth Lover in the bridge a few years back, but still have the stock (490?) pickup in the neck. For some reason the stock pickup seems to have more presence (louder) than the Seth in the bridge. The stock pickup sounds pretty good, especially when played clean, but in the middle position it over powers the SLB. Is this normal? Anything I might need to look at (wiring/installation) if it isn't?
Thanks

ok, i'm not going to bet the neck bucker for some time now and i doubt i will get one anyway (looking for a fernandes sustainer to put in the neck) so i think i'll take some use of that switch there and set it up to split and maybe paralel if possible. or just paralel..

when i cut the baffle for my JBL to fit in my peavey classic cabinet, i had realized how poorly the baffle was cut for the old 2x12 config. With the speakers mounted in, it seems as if they had no space to vibrate back and forth, wood was almost touching the doped edges of the speaker. Do all companies make their baffles this sloppy?

I have astrat loaded with Kinmans Woodstocks and love the sound. I am getting another strat though and want something ballsier. Still want a strat sound but able to pull off heavy rock ala Doug Aldrich, John Norum tone.

I'm currently in Japan, and I've been visiting electronics stores that are amazing, bigger than Best Buy with the content of a boutique electronics shop. I have seen high-end home audio, and it is good.

Best amp I ever played! But it is too much volume for an old guy practicing in the house. Can't afford two, so I have to sell. Make me an offer on eBay:
