I have a slight buzz in the neck position of my SG standard. The Pickups are an EMG 89 neck and 81 bridge. When I touch any of the metal volume or tone nobs the noise goes away. This problem is only in the neck position and it goes away completely when I touch any of the nobs. What could be the problem and how do I fix it? I am thinking it might be either a grounding problem, a bad connection, or a bad wire.

Anybody now anything about this pup? I cant find any info on Dimarzio's site, or anywhere else.

I'm considering replacing the 59 neck pickup on my Gibson LP DC to pair with my JB bridge (splittable). I need something more versatile, as my band covers everything from classic to modern rock to dance.

Well, I'm getting a little bored of my amp lately(as much as i love it) And instead of rolling out cash for a new one(which i dont have the money for) I was wondering what mods I or someone else can do to a Silvertone Twin Twelve. It's a 1963 or 64 I believe.

What would you think a Dimarzio Super Distortion would sound like with an A2 magnet instead? I like the Custom Custom but it is a bit noisy and midrange heavy. I would like to take the throaty/organic elements of a A2 magnet and unite it with the overdriven element of a Super Distortion.

Was flipping thru the channels on my tv last night and saw some Jazz and Blues festival on.... There was this Guy and a woman fronting the band.... The Guy was doing most of the guitar playing and he had an old old old beat up tele... and a custom Tele/Strat thing.... Pretty standard tele neck and body but it had a strat trem... and a strat style pickguard with 3 single coils.... The pickguard was a custom made thing... It looked like the top half was a strat pickguard and the bottom was a tele so it fit the horn and body shape correctly... The body and neck looked like they had no finnish on them at all.... Maybe oil... Body looked like it was alder or something with little grain showing... it had an all maple neck.
