If you were to combine a Strat neck pickup with a humbucker bridge pickup in an alder/maple Strat, what combo would you choose. I don't care about the middle pickup -- I'm thinking an HS Strat for this one. I want a combo that will sound good together in terms of output and tone for blues and blues-based rock.

I am getting a warmoth neck its maple with maple fretboard and need to finish it. I have checked around there are several different options. I was wondering if anyone knows about french polishing and if it would work well on the neck? I saw that stewart macdonald has some that is suppossed ot be easy to put on. And also how would it react with the decal I am going ot put on the headstock. I would just send it some where to have it finished but after buying the neck i wont have the money.

need some opinions if u guys would refinish ur guitar if it looked like this?
Its a MIM strat frm '96 tt i juz got hold of, i like the sound of it but im having a hard time deciding if i should refinish it or leave it this way... it looks pretty beat up for a 9 yr old strat some would say it's reliced

I'm thinking of changing out the JB in the bridge of my Les Paul Double Cut, it's a bit hot and feels a little 'samey'. It doesn't sound bad, just not quite it.

I was wondering whats the differnce between the store bought phat cats and the ones from the custom shop-Thanks
