well, i tried everything that everyone recomended and finally broke down and took it to my amp tech, (so much for me trying to learn electrical work). turns out the input jack was bad. he told me that they get corrosion on them and the signal actually arcs and thats what was causing the volume swells. he put a new jack in it and its rockin like a new one.

I wonder if maybe I want a custom made pickup for my Tele. Anyone ever gone through such a process, and if so, at what price ? I'd goof around, and try making one myself, but I think I want a quot;Stackquot;, which is a little more complicated than I think I could do in my garage.

I assumed the Distortion trembucker was the TB-6, a wider version of the SH-6. But Then I saw that there is also the Parellel Axis Distortion. The specs seem to be the same, do they sound they same?

Hey amp gurus, maybe you can help me with this head scratcher. Vintage tube combo, 1 mic input, 2 instument inputs, 1 volume control. The amp has 1 12AX7 pre amp tube and 1 7591A power tube. Any info would help, I want to make a head out of it, for at home practice...I don't even know what ohm speaker I should get for a cab. Thanks. Here are some pics.
