I own a new(ish) Yamaha Pacifica for which I want new pickups. Alder body, Maple Neck, Rosewood fretboard, Hum-Sing-Sing.

How well does it take to pedals? What are it's short comings? I played on one today for quite a while with an EJ Strat and fell in love.

Xeromus sent me StandingInMotion's jazz backing track; after hearing his solo it was hard not to think of the intro; I just kind of set a track up and jammed on it with Amplitube; its pretty sloppy; figured I'd post it up anyway.

Ok so yesterday I changed my strings. I used the exact same strings as I always do, and I didn't do anything different. Today I picked up my guitar to play and the floyd had raised up. The strings were higher than normal and the guitar just didn't feel right when playing. So today I messed with it a little dropped it down a bit but now the strings are buzzy and it doesn't feel right once again. This thing was playing perfectly before the string change. Once again I'll say I've changed the strings many times and used the exact same strings. Does anyone know what could have happened?

I have an Ibanez RG42FM, I just changed the stock pickups to the JB, and 59. However I am not getting the desired treble response I need. When I play my Peavey Wolfgang I get increable treble response, but when I play my Ibanez it sounds dull ,plain, unsharp. I though my new pickups would solve that problem but it didn't.

How does this thing work? I see they are for sale at Guitar Heaven for $45 but I'd think home-made would be a lot cheaper.

I have a question , I use on all my guitars a Hot Strat Livewire set , 2 single coils and 1 Humbucker .(5 way switch)

My tones are typically '70s, '80s, or DiMarzio Ibanez wanker But, I decided to give these pups a go again in my Schecter C-1 Stealth (mahogany, neck-thru), regardless of whether they'd be quot;mequot; or not, haha.

I have a 1971 Lyle Strat Style Guitar made in Japan. It currently has 2 huge single coil pickups brand unknown, a three way selector switch and the body is mahogany and neck is Hard Rock Maple. The necks are perfect on these i have another one exactly like this one just different color,i had 2 Gibson mini humbuckers installed on it and i don't particularly like the sound.So, with this one I want to install a Pearly gates trembucker on the bridge and WHAT should i put on the neck? I don't want a middle pickup. i'm having a Luthier make a new pickguard for it. I play Rock and blues.
