What pickups does JV use in his personal strats? Surely he doesn’t use the Tex-Mex’s that are in his sig strat.

OK, ladies and gentlemen, here goes.

Im wondering how the DI(line out) is used on my minimass. Im under the impression that you connect a normal 1/4 plug to it and the other into a mixer, and thats where you get your sound versus using a mic -gt; mixer. Although im confused on the specifics. Since this is coming straight out of the amp, will the levels not damage the mixer? Plus, how do you control the level? Does the knob that acts as the attenuation level also control the DI output? If the knob also acts as the DI level, then i assume the more attenuation you use, the more high end you lose?

I posted a really bad out of tune crap recording here last week My tuner had broke down and I'm at ZERO when it comes to tuning by ear (The tele still sounds out of tune/wierd in some places in this new version even though I tuned it before I recorded)

Has anyone replaced a stock tele bridge pickup with a single coil for strat?
Although they mount differently I'm sure someone has, I want to put in a JB Jr. - I don't want the hot rail for tele, I have the lipstick pickup in the neck and love it.

I bought this set off Lew and like always, he was generous in helping me decide what tele set would suite my needs, plus took the time out to walk me through the installation process yesterday and today. They are pricey pickups, but well worth the money. I don't forsee me ever, ever trading these Antiquity Pups in.

My bandmate has a Rectoverb (like me) and is considering switching over to a Mark IV. So, I was just curious, what are the tonal diffferences between these? I figure the Recto will be much more aggressive, and the Mark IV will have a more vintage vibe correct? I do know the Recto definitely has a modern feel that sometimes is a little too much for me.
