Anyone try the Fulltone Distortion Pro?
I would like to know how it handles single-coils. From the video clips on the Fulltone site, it seems to really enhance the sound of a vintage Marshall; any first-hand experiences?

Calling all lefties
Hello everyone,
I'm a lefty player and I'd love to have a guitar with P-90's. I can't find any production model that's available left-handed with P-90's as stock. Does anybody know of a guitar that might be what I'm looking for? I'm still at school so it's gotta be a cheapo. And I've got a Epi LP standard for my 1st guitar which I'm very happy with.

Finally got my Fender Prosonic back...
... from the tech and I'm blown away. God I love this amp. Took a while to get use to the two stage gain thing but is well worth it. This thing just has so much gain, I can't imagine ever going above 5 (out of 10) with the first gain. I haven't played it that loud yet (there's just so much volume in this amp) but it seems to me anything above 3 for gain 2 is like a rubbish knob, the more you turn it up the worse it sounds. Not even different, just worse. With both the gains, however, set at about 3-4 I can nail the lead sound I've had in my head for a while, just perfect. I always thought I'd get this sound from EL34's.

EQ Placement And How It Affects Tone
I've recently learned that Dime put his EQ in front of his amp instead of in the FX loop which is what I had understood. I'm wondering how putting the EQ in front of the amp would affect tone as opposed to in the FX loop. I heard in the loop affects the amp's tone a lot more and allows for more shaping. Is this true? Anything else I should know about placing the EQ in front or in the loop? Which is better?

Alan Holdsworth's 1971 100w Marshall Super Lead for Sale!!!
Hi guys,
I just bought this on a complete impulse buy recently. This is a 1971 100w Marshall Super Lead with was owned by Alan Holdsworth for years until he sold to California Vintage Guitars. The circuit is all original, except a there is a master volume that was installed on the back panel. There is also fan installed on the side but it has been disconnected. Other than that, the switches on the front panel were replaced to ones the feel much sturdier and given a yellow indicator light. It even have setting marked controls on front! Ive only dared play it once for feel of falling in love with it and not being able to bring myself it! It sounds incredible! I might have to sell it on Ebay but id rather do it here if anyone is interested.
