Hey guys, my next guitar is hopefully going to be an Ibanez JEM. I've heard that the older JEMs are of better quality than the new ones. Is this true, beyong personal opinions? Which, if any, models are seen as the creame de la creame of the JEM series. Which ones should I stay away from, if any?

Been thinking that the perfect match for a thick strat neck i have with an Ebony board maybe a Maple body...... would an all Maple body sound much different then an Alder body? Alder is said to be close to the Maple family of wood..... I figure that neck with a Maple body and a Vintage style Fender trem should be one bright guitar but it may be nice for that strat sound....

Anyone got some urls to people that make jaw dropping guitars and are one man operations?

I just went to Stew Mac because I want to order a Tone Pros bridge and stop tail piece for my Epi LP. Most say discontinued and out of stock. At least all the Standard ones do. Anyone know what's going on? Company out of business or was this replaced by another model or something? Argh! What other good LP style bridges are there?

Heres the deal, i have this new chambered body les paul. I play classic rock and phish ect. I am planning on using a pg n/ custom or c5 b. Which one is more suited for classic rock? Can anyone seen any tonal mishaps i might run into with this pickup choice?
