Is there any advantage to having a little relief in your neck as opposed to making it perfectly straight?

Pardon me for drooling...
But check out the finish on that Keebler LP. I love that colour on a singlecut flame-top. Bout 3/4 way down.

the skinny on the antiquity bridge?
im looking into buying an antiquity bridge humbucker for my les paul. How does this pickup compare to the '59?? Is it as hot?? I've got a jb in the guitar now, so will i be disappointed with the output change if i swap them out- the antiquity for the jb??

The lost art of guitar repair (rant)?
I just had my Flying V worked on and found out that another fine repairman will no longer be working at this guitar store. This will make one guitar shop that actually has a guitar repair-person in Grand Rapids Michigan! For those of you not familiar with G.R., it is the second biggest city in Michigan. What is going on? Is this the guitar centerization of guitar repair? :******:

why do people say telecasters are so versatile?
This seems to be a very common assesment of telecasters on this forum. I've played em and I love em, but I never quite got what people meant by this. Is it said because the light weight, single coils, etc. reflect more 'truly' what is being played than an LP style guitar? I notice that the crispness of single coil guitars make it hard to fudge mistakes, of course by the same token that means that they can be more 'versatile' because they reflect precisely what you are playing.

HOw do u test guitars?
I start of by playing unplugged. See the neck if i love it, the weight, the tuning, resonance of the body, not fret buzz, then i plug into the amp. And then i start off with clean on both pickups or all 3, with neutral EQ. Figure out what it is lacking(bass or mids or treble) then i adjust then play with OD or Distortion.

bluesy sounding power tubes
what's the best set of power tubes for that smooth bluesy power tube distortion? Production tubes or NOS tubes cheaper than 60 bucks a pair please.
