Please can someone tell me if there's anything that everyone should know about active EQ. There's one on my new Fender amp and I'm finally going to get it back in a few days. I had a little go on it before I broke it and the EQ really threw me. I've been told I should keep the EQ reletively low to what I would normally set a passive EQ section and turn the master up, sound about right?

So what do you reccomend as far as jazz gear. I got my Dean Evo, not a hollow body but it will do. The last guitarist that is graduating used a les paul and a small fender amp. So pickup suggestions and amp suggestions.

I wanted to know if the Masonette 25 was going to be totally dead or if he would make them again in the future. He said that he wouldn't be producing them anymore. He told me to try the Club 40 instead. Says the cleans are a little better on the Club 40. I think he might be right from the clips I've heard. Really nice guy. Called me back after he had to take another call.

hi, i was looking at the OLP MM1 with the floyd rose becuase i was looking for an eddie van halen-ish guitar. anyone have any info on the neck like how it would compare to a squier strat or jackson rr3[my other guitars] ect. thanks

I'm looking for a 1/4 Pounder or maybe even a Duncan JB Jr. pickup for my tele...it's not that I don't LIKE the texas special....just kinda want a different flavor....the neck pickup I got (also texas special) has almost god like tone...I want the bridge to keep up....any takers?

I was looking at this site that sold a Brass or Silver Metal eNut for Guitar and was wondering if any one has done this? is it worth it for a strat (i use the trem arm all day)? also has anyone here shielded there guitar with copper,do i have to take the alum. off the pickguard if i want to replace it with copper or just glue the copper over the alum? why is copper better than foil?

I'm thinking of closing up shop on my vintage gear escapade and selling my 2 jbls on ebay for around 300 bucks each(D130F's from the 60's....the d120F's sell in the 300's easily and the 130's typically sell for the 400 range), then with cash that i have saved right now, buy a twin reverb RI and settle the whole deal once and for all. I play a strat, i play blues and jazz, i like my tones sweet and clean and loud. Any problems or issues with the RI?
