Just got introduced to this genre, and I like it! Here's my first try at a funk clip. Tell me what ya think

So ya i have a 3 humbucker les paul and heres what i want to do..Get new pickups, Emg 81, 85 and an emg hz in the middle, i want the 3 way pickup selector to select one pickup only per its 3 positions and have the 4 knobs be 3 tone and one master volume. Now...is this possibile? And if so does anyone have any wiring diargrams or input on this? Also does anyone have any 3 humbucker wiring diagrams or know where to find them in general, i cant find anything.

Right now I'm very content with my rig. From just my amp I can get great tones for blues, classic rock, modern rock, and metal. I can get clean jazz tones as well. The one tone that I'd really like to get and can't from my current rig is a thick, liquid, sustaining, violin-like overdrive for jazz/fusion. Yes, reminiscent of quot;the D-wordquot; . I've read accounts of pedals being able to get in the ballpark (which is really all I can ask for, considering my budget ), most recently the HAO Rumble Mod.

Jolly called me up tonight just BSing...talking about Les Pauls that he wanted to buy. Well ya'll know he doesn't have a computer at his house. I was looking up the guitars on eBay that he liked and all of a sudden he says....quot;F-it, buy me that guitar.quot; So the crazy mutha gives me all of his passwords and sh!te, we log on and buy him a beautiful Les Paul Classic Premium Plus guitar. He's going to wake up in the morning, look at his bank account and go....WTF did I just do! Little does he know that I changed to shipping address from his address to mine!

I picked one up tonight, complete with lessons! Anybody else tried it? Seemed like it'd be pretty hard to go wrong for $5.

Hello everyone, I have some spare time before I have to study for my last exam tomorrow and I was listening to the first System album and decided I'm fond of the guitar tone. It is aggressive and crunchy without being bright or harsh, and it's relatively clear. It's also very different from the tone on Toxicity and Steal This Album!

I know my own reasons but what is it that others have to say about why they
use a the EMG actives over the passive stuff?

It's a staggered magnet strat pup. Seller lists it as having quot;A1 Rquot; on a white lable on the back and SD 2 84 stamped into the flatwork.

I can't decide. I have an 83 San Dimas Randy Rhoads V. It is neck thru, alder, and I believe it rosewood neck. It has the kind of bridge where the string go into the body. I can't make up my mind between a JB and a CustomCustom. I am replacing my emg 85/81.
