I know that this is a bit of an unorthodox question, but i am in a metal band and i am one of two guitarists....i'm just wondering if any of you out there have any special methods or exercises to improve your overall rhythm and timing....(other than learning/transcribing covers)

Alnico II Pro's Rocking Out Heavy
Here's a little thing I threw together. It's the Alnico II Pro's rocking out in an Epiphone Les Paul. As usual I'm playing everything and there's no vocals. I'm not a drummer so cut me some slack. I used my trusty ole Line6 AX2/212 amp for all the guitars. Enjoy!!

Pre amp tubes
I've done a lot of preamp tube swapping this week on my amps and every thing is OK except from one amp that i am still not satisfied with the results.....I used JJ ECC83S and i think that they reduce gain, i tried the EH 12ax7 anD they made my amp a little bit treble heavy and thin and some Ruby 12AX7 ones that are the ones that gave me th best results even though i am not 100% happy....
Since i am not an expert with tubes can you propose me some other good high gain 12ax7 tubes(svetlana???Groove Tubes??) I did not find the JJ ecc83s to be high gain ones does JJ make some other higher gain preamp tube?Is it the ecc803 ???

Help wireing
I have two jacks on the back of my cab and I'm wondering how I wire the speakers to it. I have the diagram from avatar. from : localhost/ 2 X 16 ohm speakers in parallel making 8 ohms. But it stops at the jacks and I assume that their diagram is for only one jack. I have two.

There is nothing in the world like getting new toys!
I located a '87 12/6 doubleneck Gibson... going to pick it up soon...
I haven't felt this excited in awhile....(last guitar purchase wasn't really a purchase at all, traded a pair of Gibson PU's for my '57 Les Paul Junior.... ..long story).

which od/dist pedal sounds the best???
I still couldn't decide which od/dist to get because they're unavailable here and I can't directly test them...I really need your help guys, currently I'm using Line6 DM-4 stompbox into a 79' twin reverb using a dynacomp for boosting DM-4,I can get warmamp;full OD tones so no problem there...I just want a good quality pedal that gets me a mix of ODamp;Dist...I wonder if I should get a pedal with a real preamp tube in it if it makes a huge difference than IC ones?my playing style is mainly (hard)rockamp;blues...I'm not much into metal etc...but I'd like to get metallica amp; guns'n'roses tones...so which one could suit me best???

Marshall MG mini stack
Are those Marshall MG mini stacks with the 2 small 1x10 cabs just toys or are they good for bedroom practice levels?
