I have a sh-2 Jazz neck and i think it could be faulty ( ? ).
The 3 slug poles of the unwounded strings are very weak in magnetism : i tested it by letting a piece in metal resting on the pole and pulling it off and i don't feel much of an attraction compared to the others strigs slug poles.

Getting The New Nut Slots Just A Tad Wider?
Guys...I use Stew Macs files to cut the nut slots on the new nuts...I find that the slots for the 1st.2nd,and 3rd strings could use a bit more overall width in the nut slots....When I restring, the strings stay in the slots pretty snugly and even though I use quot;Nut saucequot;and it helps,I feel I'd like the slots wider....I'm using the quot;slip stonequot; or vintage bone nuts..

Pickup shielding??
Hi,
I'm just looking for opinions on various ways to sheild a pickup. The most common way I see is to have a metal baseplate that is connected to the shield of the cable. However, I have a Peavey pickup that has a plastic base plate, but a copper tape that goes around the sides of the coils.

What is the guitar Kevin Eubanks has?
The bandleader from Jay Leno has an absolutely stunning and unique looking guitar. I have no clue what it is, all I know is he did not get it off the wall at a GC. It's a natural dark brown looking guitar and it just looks awesome.

Planet Waves
I got my cable today and I can't believe I waited so long to try one of these. After about two minutes with this thing I suddenly realized that I don't think I've been hearing but about half the sounds that have been going into my amp(in a good way). Well worth the extra money over the live wire I'd been using.

See The Inside Of Your Les Paul
Saw this over at the LPF, and thought some of you might be interested. If you have a non-historic Les Paul built in the last 10-12 yrs or so, your guitar looks like this underneath.
Sorry, i can't see anything, but it sounds interesting - whatever it might be!
