It's In The House
57' RI Goldtop. As impressed as I was with the quality of the Standard I picked up from TC, this guitar is in annother league. Holy smokes. 8.1 lbs, long neck tenon, straight, tight grain on the back, one piece body. BB2 in the neck, BB3 in the bridge, and they are actually pretty damn good.

Owners of Voodoo Lab Analog Chorus
Apparently Digital Music (the maker) will mod this pedal for you and remedy the volume boost...which they claim is actually a bass boost. All I know is it gets louder when engaged. I'll let you know how the mod sounds.

Of pots and caps
I'm working on getting my Warmoth all wired up. It's playable right now, but not all the knobs are satisfactory. Just a couple questions...

Fender vs. Warmoth
I found a guy here in Norway who builds teles and strats with parts from Fender. He will make a tele for the same price as an American Standard would cost. All the hardware are Fender as well. But I also got another guy who builds the same guitar with parts from Warmoth for a slightly higher price. Both guitars got SD Antiquity's, and the finish is very good as well.

calling experts in finishing!
i was thinking of doing a heritage cherry - think gibson sg - on honduran mahogany. but where i am, there's a restriction on shipping of flammable stuff. so no rattle cans etc.

gibby lp junior...
hey guys
i've fallen totally in love with the gibson les paul junior and it's quite probable than i may get it in the near future. just wondering if you guys can give me bit of tonal knowledge abt it, e.g. sounds it gives. I haven't found any in the shops so i haven't been able to try it out. i'm not really familiar with p90's. Would just buying one from MF be smart, because i haven't tried it. but yeh. please comment. thanks.

Do Soldering Iron tips wear out?
I've always wondered if people replace the tips on their soldering irons because they're oxidized or if the actual metal doesn't transfer heat properly, at some point?
