Think about it. What is the most important part of the market for guitar amps? First I would say the occasional gigger, small venues, mostly practising at home. That person needs at the most 60/80 watts SS or 40 tube.

A guy at work over heard me talking to a buddy that i want to learn how to take pickups apart and wax pot them.... Today he gave brick of pure candle making WAX.... Parifin or whatever it is called. It is just a raw brick of wax with 0 colouring or anything... Meant for candle makers... would this brick of wax be the right stuff for potting if i ever learn how to do it?

just wondering what your thoughts are on strat pickups with alnico II and III magnets... Ive only played ones with alnico V magnets... I know the other two have a warmer sound, but can anyone describe them better to me, also how do they compare with each other?

Its not too uncommon to have someone want individual switches to control pups, which usually means you can have all the pups off. (Not a condition I'd want.) I was just quot;doodlingquot; around and came up with this dirt-simple alternative. Just uses 2 SPDT switches to select 2 pickups. Could be a Tele, could be two humbuckers, could be anything.

I installed a pair of phat cats in my ibanez artist. the artist has a maple on mahogany body with a set neck. I now have ghs 10's in the guitar and the bridge position is painfully bright. I am going to try a pack of Daddario on hand. what brands can make it warmer?

Who all out there is a lefty? Have any photos? Any anecdotes? Do you play lefty 'upside down' (basically a right handed guitar played as a lefty).

I'm dying to get my hands on a copy of Jason Lollar's (out of print) book. Anyone know where I can find a copy or are there other good books out there on the subject?
