This is a very simple video clip I made for Davey to demonstrate the sound of my 1986 Pro-Tube 30 (single channel, 3x 12AX7, 2x 6V6), with and without the pull boosts on the EQ. There are a few Pro-Tube amps floating out there, and I think that they are a great bargain - without the boost, they sound a bit like a modded Marshall; with the EQs boosted, it has a very modern/Soldano sound. For the money, a Pro-Tube a 4x12 cabinet is a great way to step into an all-tube, UK-made rock head that sounds great for hard rock and metal.

I bought a Fender Duosonic RI for my 8 year old (good for small hands and it was dirt cheap). I replace the pickups with a Strat lil 59 in the bridge and a Duckbucker in the neck providing two classic sounds.

Alright, I got my Hot Rod 50 last saturday. Since then I've used it for my rock project rehearsal and my funk/afrobeat band's rehearsal.

LP Pro Deluxe with Duncan P90s, just some mellow noodling over a nice backing. Savage Macht 6 amp into a custom-built 2x10 cab.

I am thinking about trying a pair of SM-3 but don't know how loud they are. the resistence are 6.29 at neck and 11.6 at bridge. how loud are they compared to other duncan alnico5 humbuckers? for example, 59 or Custom5. I have both of those so they are good reference.

Just for me, I want to get the experience...
Anyhoo I was thinking about watching the tech do it for the Charvel that needs it and with the money I have left, buy a neck (Squier or MIM Fender, something cheap) and work on it. Of course that means I need a BAD neck
