Here are two New Duesenbergs Guitars.

just saw these in the new MF cataloge

Next semester I am taking woods and I am planning on making a bass body. Its going to be more or less a p bass made of walnut with a strip of (hopefully figured) maple down the middle. I've decided I want to route it for humbuckers and thought of maybe using the kind on the american deluxe p bass. But they dont just sell those seprately so I came here.

I need to add a couple of coats of poly to the new stained wood cab. Satin or gloss?

Whaddya think? I'm going for tones in the style of Kenny Burrell, Grant Green. Mellow, smooth, very warm.

I find a good bang for yor buck Semi hollowbody, but I don't even know where to start looking. I am probably going to buy used so I can get more for my money. I want a real nice one though. I am looking to spend maybe $600 to $800. Any of you guys got some ideas.

does it matter which way around the humbucker is in the guitar?
cos theres a problem with my bridge pickup, it sounds very very thin and nothing like an A2P is meant to. ive adjusted the height but it doesnt matter where it goes it doesnt sound like it should

Today I saw my RG sitting loney at a corner. It's been a while since I gave it some love. So I picked it up, cleaned it up throughly, waxed it and restrung it. Also, I ajusted action and intonation (gotta love hardtail). It has JB and Jazz combo. I raised the pickups closer to the strings. I pluged it in to my amp.

It always seems I get stuff in right before I have to do something. I had a Doctor's Appointment at 3:00pm, and my Guitar came in at 2:30. I still managed to open it and give it a once over and the look and comfort was way better than I expected, I planned to replace the pickguard but it was fine.
