im not good with technical stuff. does the key of a riff mean like the chord? like when someone tells you to solo in the key of E, do u just do alot of stuff around the E chord?

Custom made road case built by Viking Cases. Cut out for a Dreadnaught style acoustic, fits my Martin D-15 perfectly. Used but not abused in good condition. Inside is dense soft foam covered with blue velour. I've got an old ibanez destroyer im restoring, to which the Ibanez pro rocker bridge is totally trashed. Now...I didnt really like that tremolo system in the first place, and im thinking about converting it into a fixed bridge guitar. The stud spacing and size matches perfectly with that of a stoptail TOM, so thats the way im gonna go

Not being a Strat owner, it never occured to me that all 3 Strat pups would be wound with the outside pole pieces on the same 2-1/16quot; centers. For example, I had thought that the neck pickup might have a smaller spacing to reflect the fact that the strings are closer together in that position. However, a quick trip to the local Guitar Death today set me straight. I was surprised to see that the Strats have all three pickups installed so that the low E is lined up over a pole piece, while the high E is frequently between the two pole pieces at the other end. I did notice a Strat (some HSS configuration) with SD neck and middle pups that had the pole pieces on 1-7/8quot; centers.
