Hey guys,
Hope someone can help me out with this, i've been searching for days
and can't find the proper program to do this.
I have an online store with about 7,000 products. I import and export
the info with csv (after converting from excel). We overshot things and
put too much html code into the descriptions for the items, slowing the
SQL database down considerably, and I'm trying to streamline it by
stripping out most of the html code and replacing it. The problem is,
Excel can't do it, most of the other add-on programs like Textpipe Pro
and ExcelPipe Pro can't do it even though they say they can, and even
exporting all the data into MS Access doesn't help. Search and replace
programs don't even find the code im inputting into the search and
replace fields, even though it's exact. Maybe it's causing a problem
because it's longer than one line. I'm not sure.
Here's an example:
Trying to replace:
lt;!-- BEGIN CODE --gt;lt;/tdgt;lt;/trgt;
lt;trgt;lt;td width=quot;100%quot; class=quot;jbn_description_textquot;gt;lt;p
align=quot;justifyquot;gt;lt;font class=quot;jbn_description_titlequot;gt;
WITH
lt;p align=quot;justifyquot; font class=quot;jbn_description_textquot;gt;lt;font
class=quot;jbn_description_titlequot;gt;That's only the first; there's a bunch of code that's longer than that
I'm trying to strip out and/or replace. Does anyone have any ideas for
me?
Thanks so much!--
