Hi All,
I'm looking to plot data on primary and secondary axes, sometimes the data
is of different types, ie. sales $ and quantity.
When however, the data is of like type ie. sales $ and profit $, I'd like to
two axesto be synchronised so that they are effectively one axis, with a
minimum and maximum common for both primary and secondary axes.
When data reverts to being of different types, I'd like the axes to revert
back to independently auto.
Any ideas ?
VB is fine.
Thanks,
Neil
I am not sure what you expect in response. You've described what you
want to do. So, why not do it? If you expect software to figure out
when the quot;typesquot; of the two charts differ, you might be disappointed.
Of course, when the types are the same, you might simply want to use a
single axis. If the two are the same min. and max. value, there isn't
much point in having the 2nd axis, is there?

Thanks Tushar,
Maybe some more detail is in order:
I am able to select from 7 sets of data for each axes.
I have setup a 'typematch' cell to capture whether the two data types being
displayed are matching (true or false).
Each time I reselect new data to plot, I want excel to check the 'typematch'
cell for true or false and hence
either match up the two y axes for min amp; max or leave them be.
Hence my inference to visual basic in the original post.
I'm quite ok to do this manually obviously but prefer this to occur
automatically.
