I would like to color code my worksheet tabs in Excel, but the facility to
'tab color' in the Format is not there and right clicking on mouse does not
being up this facility. Can anyone please help?

This option became available in Exce2002.

Right-click on the tab with the sheet name to get a menu.

When I right click this option does not appear. I recently bought my XP PC,
previously I have ME and was able to do do this. but have tried and tried to
find ways coloring my worksheet tabs.

Are you sure you installed a recent version of Excel? Look in Helpgt;About
Microsoft Excel to find the version

Thank you Niek, this version was part of the package when I bought it 2
months ago. Excel 2000, should I instal a later version then? What would you
suggest?

I personally would not buy a new version just for colored tabs.
Excel 12 (due late this year) will have lots of new features.
