Hitting Low E string makes the B string vibrate? Hmm..
Hi guys,
I have just noticed that when i hit my open E (the low one) string on my Epiphone Les Paul Classic, it makes a high-harmonic-like-sound in the amp. The soudn is inaudible when I'm playing without the amp plugged in, but it is so blatant when I'm playing the open E string or the second fret on the E string.

Control knobs, switches, jacks etc
I've been looking at some guitars lately, and several things jump out at me, besides the AAAA tops, and super sunburst finishes.

how much wattage do you *need*?
Hey guys... considering I dont really have the ability to crank up a 100 watt amp around here... I was wondering your opinions on how much power you need for a gig. Playing live, with a band, do you think that 55 watts of honest tube power with two twelve inch speakers is enough? I always see bands around here playing with a 100 watter and a 4x12, even though the club seems pretty small. Do you think you really need all that power? are they even using it?

Marshall Plexi RI Effects Loop Discovery. Taming Volume.
I was experimenting with different pedals in the effects loop, and discovered that I could create resistance in the loop and crank the amp more, getting a louder sound at lower volumes

Sound Hole Humidifiers
I got a new guitar last night and it came with a Sound Hole Humidifier. When should I use and should I leave the guitar in the case when I have the humidifier in? I remember reading that it should be when the humidity gets below 35% how can I tell when that happens? And would it hurt the guitar to leave it in there all through the winter? Thanks,
edm
