Next step done on the strat
Well, I was able to get the control holes drilled and the guts mounted to the guard this weekend. All I'm waiting on now are the aluminum rings to finish it off.

Vintage Jazz Bass Pickups
Hi I just bought a bass off of Ebay (ya i know bad idea) and it was listed as having quot;seymour duncan vintage jazz pickupsquot; in it. I opened the cavety and it has a 9V batter in it. Do the vintage series pickups come active? Seems odd if they do...how do I tell what pickups these really are. there is nothing written on the backs of them..or anything besides quot;basslinesquot; on the front.

Hiwatt/Marshall cabs
I was wondering how close the wood, size and shape is Marshall's bottom cabs and Hiwatt cabs? I'm talking size, material and shape only not speakers.... It has been said among many Who Fans that the seceret to Hiwatts overall sound is the Fane speakers in the Hiwatt cabs.... I never see any used Hiwatt cabs around here at all but sometimes come across old Marshall cabs for a steal...

FS. Fender 50th Ann. Strat Body. Alder Black.
This is as good as it gets for a strat project, as it was just removed from a never played 2004 50th Anniversary American Series Stratocaster. It could be considered used, as it was taken from a fully assembled 2004 strat, but it's in the same condition as a guitar hanging in the store. It was an 'in case' 'under the bed' guitar from 2004 till now. It has no nicks or scratches of any kind. It looks like it came off the Corona, Ca. assembly line! It is sold by itself with no additional parts, since I don't have them. $170 shipped Fedex 2 day to lower 48 US states only. Brand new lightweight alder body, includes bridge stud bolts.
