Well I just went over to switch my amp on, and when I reached around the back for the on button I got a bugger of a static shock...

Legacy Spina modded TS-9 = AWESOME
I don't play my legacy much in my apartment because it's so loud. But everyone's gone today. I'm goosing the lead channel with my Spina modded TS-9 and this thing rocks. Balls, chunk, smooth liquid singing leads. I'm pretty pleased with it right now.

Need help choosing PUP for MIJ Squier
Hi all, I need some help picking out some new pickups for my Squier. Right now it's configured as SSH with a Floyd Rose trem. My playing styles would be classic rock and some metal. I can't tell you what wood it is made out of but a guess would be Maple neck, basswood body and rosewood fret board, but that's just a guess.

Pickups for Les Paul/DRRI.
Well, let's see if I can get some answers here. I recently bought a Fender DRRI. Perfect amp for my needs as I jam in the basement. The amp sounds great with my Telecaster. Just a great full, clear, clean and rounded tone. Not so great with my Les Paul, though. My guitar is the swamp ash Studio model with the stock 490R neck and 498T bridge pickups which I've been thinking of changing anyway. The neck pickup really isn't too bad but if I had to describe the bridge pickups in two words it would be quot;too thickquot; and I think I need a pickup that's not so high in output. The high end lacks presence and the mids seem a bit too much. They're the kind that seem to really grind on your ears. Really kinda bothersome. I need something that's clearer with a lower output and seems to have a bit of overall presence to it without being ice-pickey. I'm open to any and all suggestions. Thanks.

Refinishing an acoustic (con't)
I'm now halfway through the sanding. Turns out this guitar was probably made of cheap wood and covered with very thin laminates which happens not to survive very well to the process. I'll be more carefull in the front as I'd like to create a sunburst finish. If the top goes to hell too, it'll be all black.

Tailfeather Bridge
There is apparently a new type of bridge for strat body guitars called the Tailfeather which, in addition to converting a trem bridge to a hardtail also reduces the weight of the guitar because it's made of lighter material. I'm considering getting one but I'm curious to know if anyone on here has heard anything or has any experience with one of these things. Their site is at www.tailfeatherz.com
