I have a strat with 3 normal single coil pickups. I've always thought about adding two single coil sized humbuckers (like a jb jr or lil 59) to the existing pickups next to the neck and bridge pickups to get the best of both worlds. I really want to keep a full single coil set in addition to humbuckers. Would this create magnetic field issues? How would placing the humbuckers slightly inboard from the neck and bridge pickups affect their sound? Has anyone ever tried anything like this?

so it seems that i'm stying with and Invader/Full Shred combo for my Jackson DXMG. Since I'm gonna replace the complete electronics and wiring along with installing the new pups i thought about putting a megaswitch 5-way in there. So the wwiring scheme provided by rockinger seems promising and the switch positions would be like this

Hey folks, I'm diggin' the 'SEY' neck pickup I got - it's the older version of the Distortion for neck - but it's a bit over the top paired with the bridge pickup I plan for this thing (FRED).

...what a friggin' BLAST we had...we tore that joint up..heheh...didn't hurt that the place we played at has a 50,000 watt PA system..so now I'm spoiled =)

Is the magnet on Telecaster bridge pickup the pole pieces?

The time has come for my US Schecter Tele to say bye to the stock Monstertones, which are not really a definitive tele sound. The swampash body and killer neck are very similar to the best of Tom Andersons and Suhrs.
