I am looking for Humbucker pickups to put in this American HH Tele because I find the stock pickups don't have enough chunk or beef. I play hard rock so I want a heavy but clear sound (not too much low end though). I was thinking of putting a Duncan Distortion in the Bridge and possibly a Pearly Gates in the neck....any suggestions?
I currently play a Gibson Les Paul Studio and I'm wondering if I'll be able to get as heavy a sound with the Tele if I put in new pickups.....or am I just dreaming here...?

I have been totally GASin lately for a Vox or some other class A amp. Someone point me in the right direction. I prefer 15-50 watt amps with 1 12' or 2 '10s. I only have about $1000 to spend. I am open to all.

Obviously, its a heck of a lot cheaper to import from the USA these days than pay UK prices, but the 1st thing that sprung to mind, was the different type of power ratings and plugs and stuff. Could this be a problem? For example if i bought a USA dual rectifier and wanted to play it in my house in England?

First and foremost, I would like to thanks to BACHTOROCK for spreading the good news amongst the masses. You can have both folks. Anyways, on to my question. I was wondering if this pickup combination would sound good. Double Screw 59/CC Hybrid. The twist here is the way in which the screws are placed. The CC screw coil (bottom) would have screws placed in the shape of a hill or mountain, while the 59 coil (top) would have screws placed in the shape of a V. It could be vise versa, depending on preference. Here comes the question.....Here it comes......Is there any reason or logic to why this pickup configuration would not sound suitable? If anyone has tried this let me know.

I have two Duncan Customs up on eBay.

I've noticed that some have Studio underneath Hamer on the headstock and others don't. Is there any significance to this?
