im looking for some of the cleanest lowest output guitars to test on my amp.... like a tele, it doesnt have to be a fender, but obviously a quot;ultra-distortion-humbucker equipped Luciferion Brand guitarquot; isnt what im looking for. How are lipstick tubes? Jimmy Page played a Danelectro with lipstick tubes on a live version of White Summer that I used to have a copy of, it sounded good, but he was hybrid picking, rather than thrashing about, on 11. Is there such thing as good clean p-90s? what about some Gretsch style pups? any imput would be gladly accepted.

How do you play an quot;natural harmonicquot; ? If we take the song quot;Crazy Trainquot; as an example, in that song there's such a thing as quot;natural harmonicsquot;, and I need to know how you play a natural harmonic.

I supposedly got one of these in a trade a while ago. It doesn't have the logo on it as those particular models do not. But it also doesn't have a model number or anything on the back. It's basically an unmarked pickup. The guy said he bought it intending on putting it in a guitar, but never did. I put it in a Tele and it sounds great, but I would like to be sure that it's the real deal for when I sell it eventually.

it sure would be cool to see WFD shredding on a ES-335 through a fender twin...

I posted a question about what would be better between a Duncan jazz and a Dimarzio virtual paf. I got a few responses but not much. I think i will go duncan in this guitar. I know obviously certain pups are not right. I have thought of a jazz or a seth lover or a 59 neck. I don't know that i will even bother with the bridge pup as i never use it. I want a sweet modern jazz tone. THe basic standard JAZZ sound, warm and smooth yet very clean, which i know a lot use PAF type Neck buckers. What do my fellow players think? very open to input.

I'm thinking bout selling my strat and upgrading to a 57 reissue, but I'm getting that feeling I might miss it. The Pearly Gates HB gives me a lot of versatility and I like the Texas Specials for soloing, but I'm a huge fan of the vintage feel and V-neck. They're also relatively cheap for the NZ dollar. What to do?
