im looking for some of the cleanest lowest output guitars to test on my amp.... like a tele, it doesnt have to be a fender, but obviously a quot;ultra-distortion-humbucker equipped Luciferion Brand guitarquot; isnt what im looking for. How are lipstick tubes? Jimmy Page played a Danelectro with lipstick tubes on a live version of White Summer that I used to have a copy of, it sounded good, but he was hybrid picking, rather than thrashing about, on 11. Is there such thing as good clean p-90s? what about some Gretsch style pups? any imput would be gladly accepted.

Well i love me some danelectro's and they sound great clean and ****in horrible dirty so i'd try that out

Gretsch filter trons sound nice.

the duncan jazz is the cleanest 'bucker i've heard.

Underwound Fender Singles.

Dano Lipsticks are very, very low output. An interesting factoid about these pickups is that they use an alnico VI magnet as a rail polepiece.

The Gretsch Filtertrons are pretty low output as well.

expect like 2k-4k from the danos.. they're what i was thinking reading the first post!

Philips Q-tuners, hands down

1 for Q-tuner. Not the lowest signal but definitely the cleanest one, and low impedance, as far as I know.

I've got some Fender Strat singles that measure 2.8K DC resistance. Is that low enough?

Take whatever humbucker pickup you have laying around and unwind it to about 6k total.

Fender-style singles, unwind to about 5k.
