a guy at work is bringing me an acoustic to convert to southpaw tommorow.When we talking about what was going to be done he asked me about turning it back to a righty.
So I thought about cutting the slot so it was a match to the existing one and creating a friction fit bridge plug that could be moved by the player for either left or right and then fitting a bracket that you could pop a nut that screws in,(counter-sunk) and removing the pickgaurd.
This way someone could pull the strings,pop and shift the plug,unscrew the nut,drop in the right saddle and nut and restring.10-15 minutes and it could be either way,plus if the person ever decided that they didn't like the idea they could reverse it with little or almost no signs that it was fitted before.
