hey just wondering if anyone knows exactly how to sheild pickups with sheilding paint. Is there any spacifics or just paint them?

Hi all! I'm new to the aftermarket pickup world and am looking for some advice. I have 3 guitars and I would like to change the pickups in them. One is a 1983 Explorer, another is Heritage H-150 Deluxe, and finally a Heritage H-157 (les paul custom). I play an a/b rig with a being a fender '65 twin re-issue and b a mesa .50 cal half stack. My sound is good but somehting is just kind of lacking. I'm really searching out the guitar tone of Pepper Keenan and the tones he got on Down NOLA and Down II. I was thinking of setting one guitar up with a PEarly Gates and Custom, or PG and Custom Custom. Any suggestions you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Dont laugh, Im just deciding what to do with this, Its a sweet guitar, hss, strat body with big PG has 5 pushbuttons?????? yeah, I know...
Has a sweet bound ebony neck and a EDGE floyd. Ive got it in pieces now as I was going to part it out or build me up another body for it. I guess what Im getting at is would I be better to keep it togother as it is quot;rarequot; .....

i was wondering if you could recomend me a good bridge humbucker for my strat copy (peavey raptor) I play metal and would like something with good treble and mids and some okay bass. I would also like it to be versitile and sound good without the amp cranked up

What is the tonal differences between these two?
I know the air zone has less output but what else is different about the two?

Some very nice pickups for the money. Probably the best Fender reissues so far. Vintage strat tones all there.

One thing that results in the sweet tone of Antiquity type pickups is that the magnet has been de-gaussed to have less magnetic strength. I've heard about this only with Alnico magnets.
