Hey Newbie here. I have a 1971 les Paul custom with Mid 70's Dimarzio Dual sound pickups. It is very muddy and inarticulate. I am pretty sure that I want an Alnico Pro II in the neck. But Can't decide on the bridge pup. Right now am leaning toward the 59b or the Custom Custom.

My Highway1 Tele Review amp; Ramble
Got it the other day. Watched the store unbox it. Not even one fingerprint, and almost in tune! My first brand new guitar. Nice blonde, slightly see-the-wood. Rosewood neck, which was a little pale and dry looking. But a nice interesting looking grain, with no knots or oddities. Frets nicely finished. Absolutely no build-quality problems. Once again, (it's been said many times)
the resonance and sustain is really really surprising. Played it acoustically for a long time. It sings. It's loud. It vibrates alot, and long.

zinky amps and merchandise for cigarette packs
I have never tried them but have heard a few people talk about them. I was just looking at the smokey amp site and there a thing on there about trading in cigarette packs for credits that can be used on anything that zinky makes including the tube amps. I figure if the are worth the time since i smoke why not get something out of it. So if anyone here is interested in it give them an email too. back to my question whats the deal with zinky amps? oh and sorry ahead of time if i put this in the wrong section

Heritage prices?
I was just windering what the heritage HC-140 and HC-150 go for new. I could not find any prices on their web site and there aren't any dealers near me. Just curious what they go for.

Epiphone Les Paul Special
This Epiphone Les Paul Special is in very good condition with only light pick scratches on the finish. Everything is in perfect working condition. I took out the old pickups because they were very muddy sounding and had no clarity in the mid and treble sound. I installed GFS Vintage Hot pickups and a Sprague Orange Drop Capacitor (that you find in vintage Gibson Les Pauls) which made this guitar sing. Now it sounds a lot like my buddy's Gibson SG Special...really ballsy, yet clear with bite. I hate to let this go, but I have bills that must be paid and I need to sell this as soon as possible. The pictures are stored at from : localhost/photobucket.com/albums/b53/barney18/ and they are the first 2 pictures. If interested, e-mail me at bserwatka06@yahoo.com or call me at (254) 247-4126 and please leave a message if I don't answer it. Thanks.
