Noob needs help, will pickups sound as described?
Hello, i am a noob here and had been a long time reader and decided to finally join to ask a question. I have been drooling for a nice relic strat for awhile and I ran across this one on ebay. I truly love the Stevie Ray Vaughn sound, and it is stated in the ad the the pick up set used, is liked unto the sound of SRV by people who play quot;9quot;s. First off, I dont see alot about these pickups here, and do they actually have a good tone? I e-mailed the seller about some other details of the guitar and he told me that all the hardware was marked fender from an american model stratocaster. He also stated the relic job was done by a professional and that instead of just looking wore it had minute details such as the clear coat cjeckered or webed like one that had been made 40 or more years ago. If any of you have experiance with these pups i would like to hear from you.

Does this happen to you?
You buy a used axe from a different part of the country. You get that axe and it has set up issues from hell. I can't decide if it's just a poor setup or if it's weather related changes on the neck.

Got the Weber Speaker for the Silvertone
Wow, what a difference a good speaker makes! I ordered the 8s Ceramic(15w) from Ted on his recommendation and he was dead on. It is loud, warm and chimey. Doesn't break up like the original so I get pure tube breakup. It is loud enough now that I can't hear myself sing when standing 5 feet from the amp......and that's a good thing! It sounds great now, can't wait to hear what it sounds like in a couple of weeks after it breaks in a bit. I can highly recommend this giant speaker in an 8quot; package. I'll post some clips after I get a good mic from Youngpup tomorrow.

WTB: Traynor YCV40
I know this may be useless, and shipping may be expensive, but I'm seaching (desperately) for a used Traynor YCV40 in Canada and just can't find one. Nothing on e-bay either.

Fender Strat quot;puzzlequot; ...odd duck here...
I found a japan strat that is 3/4 size and has a 24quot; scale....looks exactly like a full size but has 2 knobs instead of 3...has a fender usa 4 bolt neck plate with the one rounded corner serial number starts MO which leads me to think early 90s......its weird and I cant find anything on the net about it...its no squier, its not bullet.....and its definetly japan quality....
anyone ever see one?
