All tube: 15 watts vs 30 (with extension sockets) other questions...
Right now I have a Laney AOR 30 watts which I use with a POD in its effects return. I just got a band together (kinda...) and we have to rehearse at uni (half an hour by bus). Obviously, carrying my amp is out of the question (I'm the drummer for it by the way). One of the guitarists goes by car so he has his gear but the other one doesn't. It's been a while since I was thinking of downgrading my gear and since I live closer to the uni than the second guitarist, I was thinking of getting an amp smaller in size and wattage, but that'd be loud enough for standard practicing sessions and small gigging (pub size). I was wondering if 15 watts would be enough? The Laney LC15R can be had at a GREAT prize, is very small, and sounds great. It also has a speaker extension socket. But would it do slightly bigger venues as well?

Tell me all there is to know about the JCM800
Yup it's GAS again. My favorite tone-men of all times use Marshalls (Gary Moore, Zakk Wylde...) and I'm thinking, if the POD's JCM800 model doesn't sound like I wish it to, the only solution is a real JCM800. It won't happen for a few years, but I'm curious about this amp and since it seems to be pretty popular and famous, why not just make a thread about it describing its different versions, artist who used them, etc...

Please confirm if a SD Hot Rails or not
Hi
Sorry if this question was already asked... but I did search through 175 posts and not find the answer I bought a SD Hot rails from ebay. The guy who sold it says its original and he has good feedback. But I dont see a '' logo on the pup. It looks like a Hot rails and in the SD original box with a pickup wiring diagram and all that. How can I make sure I did buy a original and not a knock-off ?

Les Paul Junior from MF cures P90 GAS
I had big-time GAS for a P-90 guitar but I didn't want to shell out big bucks for a Custom Shop model and don't really like the double cut specials. Although I don't normally buy guitars from MF I went ahead and got one of those Les Paul Juniors with the single dog ear P-90 pickup. It came yesterday and man this thing smokes. When I first took it out of the box I looked at it and thought man, there's not much to this thing, but then I plugged it in and wow!!!! I'm amazed at the tone and versatility from a one pickup guitar.

Another Tele thread... (help, Lew!)
Hi, I'm just another guy who's not certain in his next pickup choice. You see, last automn, I bought the Fender Highway 1 Telecaster and the Marshall 100hdfx. Sounds great. However, I'm not satisfied with the pickups; the neck is a little muddy without highs, and the bridge is far, far too bright (the rest of the band screams when I play on the brightest strings). I'm certainly going to try the Jerry Donahue for my bridge position.

Replacing a P.A.F with a P-90...Possible?
Can a PAF Style Humbucker be replaced with a p-90, I imagine the humbucker route is wider then a P-90.... I guess I'm asking is a Humbucker bigger in size then a p-90... I imagine the p90 is taller (dogears).. But what about that cavity width? If anyone can let me know that would be great.
also, I know I could drop in a Phat Cat etc. , Still interested in a possible Vintage style p-90, even If I must cut away some wood. Just won't beable to add any. Thanks
