i need some help?
i just bought a sh-5 for an epiphone LP standard , ok i know ..have to solder but the old pick up had just two wires white and ground i think / and the diagram shows something more easy but then i would have to desolder because they are wired diferent than the diagram. more cables id say . ok .i taped black and white and i got sound but when i switch the midle the volume lowers i dont know if the pick up is giving its 100% or is it becacuse their diferent and causes intereference and what about the remaining wires ? if some one could help id would apreciate very much. I know a smart option maybe could be to take it to a shop but id rather learn. thanx

Another Original
Alright, this is the first new one with my new E-Mu 0404 soundcard and SD-1 through the Behringer, as well as the first one done solely with my RR-1, JB bridge.

Line 6 TonePort UX2 USB Interface
Has anyone tried this yet? I was thinking this thing into an MBox2 would be really cool, as it has amp (for guitar and bass) as well as mic pre modeling.

Advice for pickup for slide[strat]?
Hi, I'm purchasing a strat strictly for slide guitar and I'm looking for a pickup that produces a powerful and fat tone for an American made strat/ maple fingerboard. it currently has the single coil configuration. I would like a good bottom end without the mudiness and nice sweet highend without the shrill but lots of power and punch..or any other advice or ideas on this would be greatly appreciated. Oh yes!!!! If this may help.... I play through a single rectifier stack. Thanks. Joey

problem with quarter pounder
hey,
i've got a quarter pounder in the bridge position of my strat and get a lot of feedback (the screechey hurt-your-ears kind i associate with microphones into p.a. systems, not the good guitar kind) when playing loud. i'm using the lead side of boogie studio preamp into a tube power amp into a 4x10. i am playing very loudly and am not standing all that far from my amp but i have the gain turned down enough that it only sounds dirty when i dig into the strings.

Another Eminence Wizard clip.
I just did this tonight, I went for a room mic instead of a close to cone thing and I think it captures more of what I hear when I am playing. Using my old Valco PA head loaded with the very cool TAD 6l6 tubes, Strat and Weber Mass. The bottom end on this amp is amazing. Extremely full, but not hard or thick. It just loves a Strat in the neck pos. from : localhost/this, click on the somg Tad and Remy.

Craving a new guitar....(PICTURES INCLUDED)
I was going to buy an Epiphone, but many others came up. Let's make this clear, I'm looking something for Pop Punk/Hard Rock/Possibly Blues. I currently have a fat strat with an invader. That supplies me with enough power, but I want something more. My tone is pretty warm and clean and distortion that's used nowadays by mainly SoCal bands(Blink, Greenday, etc). Here's my choices and plans to do with them in case I do get one:
