Theres a gibson les paul junior I'm going to try to get, its double cut, tv yellow, kinda beatup, 1 p90. but it has the abr1/stop bar setup. I've always thought that the wrap around bridge was an important part of the junior. Does anyone know if a conversion would be a goood idea (professionally done of course)? How would it change the sound? Would I have problems with action or intonation? I don't care about cosmetics cause the guitar is already kinda beat up. Good idea?

Im looking for a new bass and I need some help. I play punk/pop-punk/rock and my budget is around $450. I was looking at a Fender Jazz and an OLP MM2. I know the fender is obviously better quality but the OLP wasnt half bad either. I like a punchy sound when I play and both it. I have 2 P-basses and a Mark Hoppus but I want a little more tonal variety. Ijust want your opinions on which bass would probaly be better. I just want something that will last long and not give out. Any suggestions are welcomed also. Thank you.

I've just got hold of an on-on 2 way switch and an on-off-on 3 way, can people please suggest some useful and interesting things i can do with these on a dual seymour duncan loaded (4 conductor) fat strat w/2 vol amp; 1 tone.

Need opinions on coil-splitting. I play an Epi LP with a SH-11 in the bridge which I love. Problem is a lot of the stuff I write has a fair amount of fingerpicking in and the SH-11 (and the SH-55 Seth Lover in the neck, for that matter) 'muddy' the sound up. They both seem to be too thick to get what I'm playing across with any clarity. I can't split the Seth Lover (2 way conductor wire) so my only option is to split the Custom Custom. Has anybody got any experience in doing this and if so, will it be enough to get fingerpicking stuff across. I'm talking in the vein of Jeff Buckley 'Hallelujah'. (Spelling!?! Arghh!)
Any advice or light from past experiences please.

Hey guys, just got the parts in from Blackrose to upgrade the electronics on my Agile DC LP as the tone pots were finally crapping out. I got cts pots that individually read 498, 500, 502 and 502k. Is there any advantage in the specific placement of any of these pots or are the values close enough to not matter? I also got both .022 and .047 OD's to try out. I've been reading up on the 50's mod but can't seem to find a schematic for it, Help! I need a visual aid to be able to do this properly.

Ok well I remember about 1 1/2 years ago (when I used to have an account here), there was a well known user who had a band just before the turn of the 90s and had a song called quot;Fire'' quot;Desire of Firequot; or something like that. It was like a power metal'esque song. I was wondering if any of you knew the user I am talking about or at least know the song I am talking about.

I've sanded back and cleaned a maple neck and want to have a crack at finishing it. I'm thinking either an oil finish like EB/musicman and Gamp;L use, or a satin finish similar to modern fenders.
