I'd like to do this and have a split coil switch for all three as well.
Anybody been there yet?

Any info on EVH's Mini LP....
From 1982-1985 EVH used 2 mini Les Paul style guitars live for the tune Little Guitars... One was an amber or yellow colour with Les Paul Deluxe pickups in it... and the other i think he had for the 1984 tour only was a red colour with full size Humbuckers in it. What on earth are the scale length of these guitars and how were they tuned.... i assume Ed tuned the strings higher then normal because when you play the song Little Guitars on a regular guitar you need a capo on the 2nd fret i think..

Grounding/shielding issues with METAL pickguards.
I'm currently assembling a special strat that is going to have a diamond-plate pickguard made out of actual diamond-plate metal, not plastic.

Lacquer accident
A guitar I was spraying with nitro lacquer slipped from where it was drying and ended up face-down on a towel (not the soft cotton kind, but like a bath towel). By the time I found it, the lacquer was mostly dry. When I picked it up, the lacquer at the edge of the guitar lifted off and I have a spot where there's just bare wood with about 11 coats of lacquer built up around it. At the other end of the guitar, pieces of the towel got stuck in the lacquer and I can't get them out - like little strants of cloth about the size of a tuner screw. Should I just wait untill it's dry, sand smooth, and start over? Or is there a better way...
YIKE'S ! The chip can be drop filled, But the strands on the other end sounds like trouble. The only thing I can think of is, If you have a air brush? Grab the strand with a pair of tweesers and shoot some straight thinner around it. Then pray the strand lifts off and the Lacquer melts back? Other than that it's a do over. Good Luck.

WHERE does your right hand pick?
You know when you strum/pick near the bridge you get a twangier sound, but when you strum near the neck you get a mellower sound.

4 string or 5 string basses?
The idea of an extra string seems to be good in theory, but I suspect I'd get tired of it... When you add that to increased neck size (making it more difficult for me to play), it just doesn't seem worth it to me...
